Job Overview
Pharmacy Technician Associate has a provisional PHAT certification. Works under the direction of certified Pharmacy Technician or a licensed pharmacist to learn the job skills of a pharmacy technician and prepares for PHAT certification exam.
Fast-paced inpatient pharmacy environment. Core responsibilities of this role include :
o Non-sterile and sterile compounding.
o Pharmaceutical math calculation proficiency.
o Transporting prescriptions and pharmacy equipment (for example, IV’s, injectables, etc.) to clinics or nursing floors.
o Answer, screen, and triage phone calls.
o Help in training new pharmacy technicians.
o Help other technicians in the pharmacy.
o Repackage bulk medication stock into individually packaged units.
o Carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by the hospital pharmacist or pharmacy leadership.
o Communication and collaboration skills.
